Student Activities Awards

The Office of Student Activities recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of students and student groups. The awards highlight students and student groups commitment to the co-curricular community. We encourage you to nominate yourself or another student or student group for recognition at the awards program.

Below you will find information regarding all of the awards nominations are currently being accepted.

Candidates for all awards must meet the following criteria:

      • Candidates must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 at the time of consideration, unless the award dictates differently.
      • Candidates must not have been on any form of academic probation or have been found responsible for being in violation of any University policy during the past academic year.
      • Student groups must be registered and in good standing with their sponsoring office or department.

Outstanding Student Organization Award

      • The award for Outstanding Student Group is presented annually to a student group that has displayed exceptional and consistent leadership throughout the academic year.

Encore Award

      • This award is presented to a Hamline University student group for planning and implementing a program, event or project during the 2018-19 academic year, that demonstrated leadership, creativity, engagement and relevance for college students and enriches campus life.

Outstanding Adviser Award

      • This award is presented to a full-time faculty or staff advisor of a student group that demonstrated a deep commitment to student development and has made significant contributions benefiting the membership of the organization.

Rising Star Award

      • The Rising Star Award recognizes a first or second year student who has actively engaged in leadership or service activities and has established themselves in a way that motivates their peers and positively impacts the Hamline community. To be considered for this award, nominees must be a first or second year student, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and actively involved in leadership or service activities at Hamline.

Unsung Hero Award

      • Being a good leader often times means being a good follower or leading by example and through influence. The Unsung Hero/Heroine Award recognizes that kind of leadership. The award is presented to a student who does not hold a traditional leadership position on campus and is committed to the Hamline community and has a positive effect on the lives of others.

Outstanding Student Leader Awards

      • The Leadership Award is presented to up to 4 students who have shown themselves to be exemplary leaders at Hamline. This award is given to students who have demonstrated outstanding service to the Hamline community and excels in curricular and co-curricular leadership.
